I'm so excited that teachers in Virginia now have a blog. I have a question for all 4th grade teachers concerning Virginia Studies. Our fourth grade team is currently composing unit tests that not only cover the information that has been taught, but they also allow the students to apply what they know through some type of performance or critical thinking assignment. We'd like for the quizzes to follow the current SOL test format, but we are especially interested in the application process. What do other 4th grade teachers in the state use for assessments?
Marsha-I will get you the link to the grade level groups on Facebook and email you from our account. I know that there is a great group of fourth grade teachers in the group. Nikki teaches fourth grade too, so she may have input for you. I just wanted to comment here so you know to look for an email. Carla
